Delete your account or data

You can delete your Spotter account yourself in the app, or ask us to do it with the form below or by email. Either way, we complete the deletion within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

Fastest: delete in the app

  1. Open Spotter and go to Profile.
  2. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

This deletes your sign-in, every identification and photo, and your Collection memberships straight away.

We check the request against the email on your account, email you a confirmation, delete the data, and let you know when it’s done.

What should we delete?

For example, which identifications to delete. Up to 2,000 characters.

Or email us

Email dgauger@realbluesoftware.com from the address on your Spotter account. Tell us whether you want the whole account deleted or only specific data, such as your photos or identifications. We confirm the request against your account email, delete the data, and reply when it’s done.

Email a deletion request

Purchase records are kept for accounting, linked only to a random ID. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel yours in the App Store or Google Play as well; deleting your account doesn’t cancel them.
